What's new? October 2026

Written by Guus de Zwart

It’s time for a new update. Sven will walk you through the latest developments. In our last update, we mentioned that we were working hard on something behind the scenes. Today we can show you what it is: the next step for Lone Worker, plus a number of other useful improvements.

Lone Worker: as promised

Does someone work alone, for example in the evening or at a remote location? Then they start a Lone Worker session in the app. Safeguard checks regularly that everything is fine and detects when someone falls. If there is no response, an alert is sent to colleagues. That way, no one is on their own.

Until now, we have mainly tested Lone Worker ourselves. In the coming period, we will test it together with our pilot customers. Interested in testing Lone Worker? Let us know and we will switch it on for you. And since we are in the pilot phase, your feedback is more than welcome!

Please note: Lone Worker is currently only available on Android.

Alerting crisis managers per location

Working with multiple locations? You can now choose for each crisis manager which locations they are alerted for. That way, only the right person receives the alert. A crisis manager at location A no longer receives alerts from location B.

Also new

  • Is there a phone number in the checklist? Tap it to call straight away. No more retyping the number during an incident.

  • The duty phone now also works on iPhone.

  • A red dot sometimes stayed on the app icon on iOS, even when there was nothing new. This has now been fixed.
