Who can use this feature 👥 Dashboard users, location admins and admins follow lone workers, admins set up Lone Worker 🖥 Available in the Safeguard Dashboard. Your colleagues start work sessions in the app on Android 💎 Part of the Lone Worker module, which Safeguard switches on for your organisation |
A colleague is working alone and has started a work session in the app. On the Presence screen, you see who is working alone right now. You can ask that colleague for a check-in or call them directly, even when there is no alert.
Viewing running sessions
Open Presence.
Look under ‘Lone worker sessions’. If nobody is working alone, it says ‘No active lone worker sessions’.
Click a colleague's card.
You see when the session started, what your colleague is working on, the active detections and the expected duration. If the periodic check-in is on, you also see the last check-in. In the dashboard, this detection is called ‘Periodic check’.
Asking for a check-in or calling
Manual check-in: your colleague's app asks straight away if everything is alright.
Call followed by the number: your computer calls the first phone number in the profile, using the program you use for calls.
View alert: if an alarm is open, you go straight to the alert.
If there is no phone number in your colleague's profile, the Call button is greyed out.
Setting up Lone Worker as an admin
Go to Administration and choose Users.
Open a user.
Switch on Can activate lone worker.
Click Save.

Under No presence, choose what happens when nobody is present: a crisis manager scenario, or alerting all crisis managers.
Click Save.
Once Can activate lone worker is on, your colleague sees the Lone worker mode button in the app.
