Scenarios are predefined notifications that allow emergency responders to be alerted more quickly and more specifically.

Note: Before you can add a scenario, one or more groups must first be created.

Add scenario

Click on 'Add' to create a scenario. You can enter the following information:

Name: The name of the scenario will appear in the button with which the call can be sent. The name of the scenario is also displayed by the app users when they receive the call via the Safeguard app.

Color: This is the color in which the scenario activation button is shown; this applies to both the app and the dashboard. For example, for a fire scenario, you can select a red color.

Message: You can enter a standard message here that is always sent when this specific scenario is activated. This saves time, because the app or dashboard user does not have to type it in himself. When activating a scenario, additional information can also be entered.

Location: Enter the location for which the scenario should appear in the app or dashboard.

Urgency: It is possible to change the urgency of an alert to "Urgent" "Not Urgent" "Silent" and "Notify".

  • Urgent: Loud alarm sound, with vibration. This is the default Safeguard sound. Responders can choose Yes or No when receiving the alert.

  • Not urgent: Loud alarm sound (just different), with vibration. Responders can choose Yes or No when receiving the alert.

  • Silent: No sound, with vibration. Responders can choose Yes or No when receiving the alert.

  • Notify: Beeps that repeat every 5 seconds, with vibration. Responders don't have to respond. The only option available will be OK.

Users needed per group: Once you have selected a location, you can select how many persons from one or more groups are needed for this scenario. For example, you can set that for the 'First Aid' scenario you need three people from the 'BHV' group. In a scenario, only the persons present in the selected groups are called up.

Note: It is important that there are enough people in the group that you link to a scenario. You can check this in the 'groups' tab.

Notify neighbours: You can select whether you want to send the neighbours, which you can optionally fill in within the location tab, an SMS when the scenario is activated. In this way, these people are automatically aware of, for example, a fire or evacuation. In situations such as aggression, the 'Silent' scenario can be chosen. With this option, notifications are received without any sound or vibration.

Alert Crisis Managers:
When this option is enabled, crisis managers will be notified of the incident via Safeguard for this scenario.
Crisis managers are app users who can receive Safeguard alerts regardless of their location.

Automatic participation in push-to-talk:
This checkbox is enabled by default and ensures that app users are automatically placed in the correct push-to-talk channel after accepting the alert, without needing to open it manually.

If you do not want this for a specific scenario, you can disable this option.
App users will then need to manually open the push-to-talk channel after accepting the alert.

Show specific checklists when using a scenario: If you have created location-specific checklists in your environment, they can be linked to a scenario. This option allows you to, for example, automatically display fire-related checklists in the app for emergency responders who accept a fire-related notification.
