An alert can be sent from any screen via the dashboard.

Click the Alarm Users button at the top of the menu on the left side of your screen to send an alert. A dialog box will appear (see Step 1).

Step 1

The first step is to choose the type of user and the sector of an alert.

The dialog box shows the number of available emergency responders. guest emergency responders are also shown. These are notified when there is insufficient response from the permanent emergency responders.

1. Type of user
When the check box is clicked, the type of user to whom the alert should be sent can be selected. The default user type selected is Emergency Responders.

2. Sector
The name of a sector within your location is shown here. When the selection box is clicked you can choose between the available sectors.

3. Next
Navigate to Step 2. A new dialog opens with further settings for the notification.

Step 2

Step 2 consists of filling in the necessary information to successfully send an alert:

1. Scenario
See Step 3 (Optional) for an explanation of adding a scenario.

2. Notification information
A notification can be provided with a group (optional), the number of users required, and a message with information (example: Counter ground floor).

3. Notify neighbours
Your established neighbours (organisations) will receive an SMS with an alert description.

4. Send notification
The alert is sent to the required emergency responders, based on the information entered.

Step 3 (Optional)

Optionally, a scenario can be clicked to quickly link the required group and required users to an alert.

When receiving an alert with scenario, the emergency responder will be provided with additional visual feedback. This visual feedback consists of the icon, the color and the name of the scenario.
