In the case of a crisis situation, it is possible that several first responders are needed to properly handle the situation. When this happens, it is of course important that the emergency respodners that are already present are not disturbed by unnecessary alert noise.
You can use the escalation function to facilitate this. Escalating via Safeguard ensures that a new alert is only sent to people who were still marked as absent in the current situation.
When you send an alarm, the button 'escalate' will appear on the top of the screen to escalate the alarm.
