🖥 Administration via the Safeguard Dashboard

It is possible to receive a pop-up notification of a Safeguard alert on a laptop or PC. This can be useful, for example, if you do not have the Safeguard dashboard open in the foreground and an alert is in progress.

To enable this, click on your name at the top right of the screen and then click on 'view profile'.

Your profile appears here. Under 'permissions' you can enable desktop notifications.

When you click on 'enable notifications', a pop-up will appear from the browser.

Click on 'Allow' here and you will receive desktop notifications in the future when a Safeguard alert is made.

If you have declined this notification, you can always enable it later. The steps are almost the same in every browser, but it looks slightly different. Below is the instruction on how to enable this permission.

Steps for Google Chrome:

  1. Click on the lock on the left side of the address bar.

  2. Turn the slider to the right for 'notifications' here as in the example below.

  3. The desktop notifications are now enabled.

Steps for Edge:

  1. Click on the lock on the left side of the address bar.

  2. Click on the dropdown menu next to notifications

  3. Choose 'allow'

  4. The desktop notifications are now enabled.

Steps for Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Click on the lock on the left side of the address bar

  2. Click on the arrow next to 'connection secured'

  3. Then click on 'more information' and a new screen will open

  4. Go to the tab 'Permissions'

  5. A list of options appears here, uncheck the option 'use default' at 'send notifications'

  6. Select 'allow' here

  7. The desktop notifications are now enabled
