Via the Safeguard Push To Talk function it is possible to communicate using the app. This provides communication with colleagues during an incident and is very easy to use. To use this function, an internet connection via WiFi or 3G/4G is required.

How to get there

Directly from the app

Press the bell icon in the bottom of the app to open a sub-menu. Press Push To Talk to enter the channel tied to your current location.

After accepting an alarm

After you have received an alarm and accepted it, you will be able to join the Push To Talk channel. A large button will be shown in the bottom of the screen.

Using Push To Talk

Operating the Push To Talk function is very straightforward. Press and hold the large red button in the bottom of the screen to talk to the other emergency responders in the channel.

In the top left of the screen the users that are in the channel are shown. In the center of the screen, the profile picture and name of the person that is currently speaking will appear.

Using the speaker button switches the sound from the Push To Talk channel between the loud external sounding speaker of your phone and the smaller speaker which is used for regular calls. When you're connected to a bluetooth headset you can use this button to switch the sound to that device.

De red button in the top bar is used to close your connection.
