Invitation

You will receive an email with a link from [email protected] to install the Safeguard app. To install and log in to the app, open the email and press 'Navigate to app'.

Note: The link in the email under the 'Go to the app' button is valid for 24 hours. If the link has expired, you can manually download the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play store (Android). You must then enter your email address on which you received the earlier invitation; you will then automatically receive a new link to log in.

This email may end up in your unwanted email / spam folder, so don't forget to check it if no email has arrived.

Installation

When you click on 'Go to the app' in the email, the phone will automatically open the download page of the Safeguard app.

After installing the app, various permissions are requested that the app needs to function. After the permissions have been requested, you will be asked to enter your phone number.

Last but not least: a test alert. This will only be sent to your device so you will know what to expect when an alert is made. Once this step is complete, you can freely navigate through the app and the Safeguard app is ready for use.

No mailbox on your phone?

If you do not have email on your phone, you can install the app another way. To do so, manually download the Safeguard app from the App store or Google Play Store and follow the steps below:

  • Open the Safeguard invitation on your laptop/PC.

  • Click on 'Navigate to app'

  • A QR code will appear on the screen.

  • Open the Safeguard app on the phone and select the option to log in with a QR code. This step will ask for permission to use the camera to scan the QR code; accept this permission.

  • Scan the QR code and the app will be logged in.

Installation still not successful?

If you do not have access to your mailbox at all, an SMS can also be sent containing a login link.

Please contact Safeguard or your own organisation's administrator for this.
