When your phone's GPS/location services are turned off, the Safeguard app cannot function properly. To set the GPS settings on your Android phone correctly, you can take the following steps:

1. Swipe down from the notification bar to see an overview of various settings that you can switch on/off.

2. Locate the location icon (often shown as in the image below) and make sure it is on.

3. Safeguard can now use the GPS of the phone to automatically register your Safeguard app as 'present' when you are on location.
