In the event of an emergency, it is important that the right help is on site as quickly as possible. Via an emergency number it is possible, as an employee, to immediately call up the emergency responders present in a quick and simple manner.

How does this work for employees?

In the event of an emergency, it is possible to immediately call in the emergency response team. It goes like this:

  • Call the emergency number

  • The emergency response officers on location have been called.

  • Talk directly to available emergency responders who are using the Push To Talk module.

This communication allows you to communicate directly with the care providers. This provides more clarity and faster action.

If you don't get into a conversation, you'll see a different screen. Taking too long or no one available? Get redirected to 112 or a back-up phone number of your choice.

note: we will instantly redirect when we know no emergency responder is on location.

How does this work for me as an emergency response officer?

When a call is made using the emergency phone number, you will receive an alert as normal. The alert automatically lets you join the push to talk, and you will be given feedback you're chatting with a regular employee.

Nothing else changes for you as an emergency response officer. The alert comes in the same way as an alert you are used to while training.

How do I see who called the emergency number?

In the Safeguard dashboard go to the alerts overview. The will show which number called the emergency number. Note that people can still make anonymised calls.

About the storage of the caller number: This number history will be stored for 90 days.
